Deleting Your Account
We are sorry to see you go. Here is how to delete your Juxtravel account and what happens to your data.
Before You Delete
Please note:
- Active bookings must be completed or cancelled before account deletion.
- Pending payouts (for hosts) will be processed before deletion.
- Credits balance will be forfeited and cannot be recovered.
- Account deletion is permanent — you cannot undo this action.
How to Delete Your Account
- Log in to your Juxtravel account.
- Go to My Account > Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account at the bottom.
- Confirm your identity with an OTP verification.
- Select a reason for leaving (optional but helpful).
- Tap Delete My Account.
What Gets Deleted
- Your profile information (name, email, phone, photo).
- Your saved properties and Trip Boards.
- Your booking history (after the retention period).
- Your referral code and credits.
- Your JuxAI conversation history.
What We Retain
For legal and financial compliance, we retain:
- Transaction records for 7 years (required by Indian tax law).
- Communication logs related to disputes for 1 year after resolution.
- Anonymized analytics data (not linked to your identity).
Reactivation
Once deleted, your account cannot be reactivated. You would need to create a new account with a new phone number or email. Your previous booking history and credits will not carry over.
Alternative: If you just want a break, consider logging out instead of deleting. Your account will remain inactive but available whenever you are ready to travel again.
