Creating a Trip Board

Trip Boards are Juxtravel's collaborative planning feature. Think of them as shared Pinterest boards, but specifically for planning trips with your group.

What Is a Trip Board?

A Trip Board is a shared space where you and your friends can:

  • Save and compare properties for your trip.
  • Set a budget and track costs.
  • Pick dates that work for everyone.
  • Vote on properties to find the group favourite.
  • Add notes and discuss options.

How to Create One

  1. Go to Trip Boards from the navigation menu or visit /boards.
  2. Tap Create New Board.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Board name — e.g., "Goa Birthday Trip" or "Family Reunion 2026"
    • Destination — the city or region you are planning to visit.
    • Dates — your preferred check-in and check-out dates.
    • Budget — set a total budget for the group.
  4. Tap Create and your board is ready.

Adding Properties to a Board

There are two ways to add properties:

  • From property pages — tap the bookmark icon and select which board to add it to.
  • From the board — use the Add Property button to search and add directly.

Each added property shows its price, rating, photos, and a quick summary.

Board Settings

  • Public vs. Private — public boards can be viewed by anyone with the link; private boards require an invite.
  • Budget alerts — get notified when selected properties exceed the group budget.
  • Date reminders — the board reminds the group when booking deadlines approach.

Tip: Create the board first, then share the link with your group. It is easier to collaborate when everyone can add properties from the start.
