Planning a group trip? Use Juxtravel's built-in expense calculator to split costs fairly before you book.
How It Works
On any Trip Board with a budget set, the Expense Splitter shows:
- Total trip cost — based on the selected property, dates, and guest count.
- Per-person share — total divided equally among all group members.
- Cost breakdown — room charges, service fee, GST, and any extras.
Accessing the Splitter
- Open your Trip Board.
- Select a property from the board.
- The per-person cost is shown automatically below the total price.
- Tap View Full Breakdown for a detailed split.
Breakdown Details
The expense splitter accounts for:

Tips for Fair Splitting
- Agree on splitting method early — equal split is simplest, but some groups prefer to split by room or by couple.
- Account for children — decide if children count as full shares or half.
- Consider extras — meals, activities, and transport can be split separately.
- One person books — it is usually easiest for one person to make the booking and collect from others.
Payment Collection
Currently, Juxtravel handles the booking payment as a single transaction. The expense splitter is a planning tool — one person pays and collects from the group.
