Understanding Host Earnings

Here is how you earn money as a Juxtravel host and when you get paid.

Commission Structure

Juxtravel charges a 5% host commission on each booking. This is one of the lowest in the industry:

| Platform | Host Commission | |----------|----------------| | Juxtravel | 5% | | Airbnb | 3-5% | | Booking.com | 15-20% | | MakeMyTrip | 18-25% |

Earnings Calculation

Your earnings per booking = Guest payment - Service fee - Juxtravel commission

Example:

  • Guest pays: Rs 10,000 (room) + Rs 300 (service fee) + Rs 1,200 (GST) = Rs 11,500
  • Your earnings: Rs 10,000 - Rs 500 (5% commission) = Rs 9,500
  • GST collected goes to the government.

Payout Timeline

Payouts are processed on a regular schedule:

  • Online payments — funds are released to your bank account 24 hours after guest check-in.
  • Pay at Property — you collect payment directly from the guest at check-in. The 5% commission is settled in your next billing cycle.

Payout Methods

Earnings are transferred directly to your registered bank account via NEFT/IMPS. Ensure your bank details are updated in the Host Dashboard under Payout Settings.

Earnings Dashboard

Track your finances in the Host Dashboard:

  • Total earnings — lifetime and monthly views.
  • Booking-wise breakdown — see commission, GST, and net amount for each booking.
  • Payout history — dates and amounts of all bank transfers.
  • Upcoming payouts — bookings in progress with estimated payout dates.

Tax Considerations

Juxtravel provides booking summaries for your tax filing. Consult your CA regarding income tax and GST obligations for rental income.
